When all is said and done, and the race has been run,
We'll look back on our lives, the battles we've won.
Did we strive for greatness, or let fear hold us back?
Did we make a difference, or simply fade to black?
When all is said and done, and our time here is through,
What will our legacy be, what will we imbue?
Will we be known for our kindness, or the hatred we spread?
Did we lift others up, or trample them instead?
When all is said and done, and our story is told,
What will be the message, that we leave for the bold?
Did we inspire hope, and light the way,
Or cause despair, and lead others astray?
So let us live each day with purpose and care,
And create a legacy that's worth more than a mere snare.
For when all is said and done, and our journey's complete,
Our legacy will live on, the impact we did meet.
