Less Thee Should Care

Here in lies the game
Less thee should care
To love is to acquaint
Thyself to despair
The winner of the game
Is the least who should care
Should a man last long
In Passion and in youth?
Less he should care
He must give up his own truth
Will he give her the reins?
And let her tie his own noose?
For true men make no appeal
To the tastes of her youth.
Parade the boys on high
If he's the idol of her eye
Less she should care
She will give him even her life
Have you seen it returned yet,
Those feelings on your side?
Don't feel too deeply
Or you'll only waist his time.
Less thee should care
They risk thy heart unrepaired
What love is not reel,
Without the hooks to ensnare?
Such a pity by man's curse
Do the rules seem unfair?
That the real game of love
Is just not to care...
Art work not mine.
Staring at a blank page again.
