Life teaches many lessons,
And to me, one in particular stands out.
The lesson of being alone, unreliant of any persons,
Is one I've been trying to learn all about.
You see, friends come and friends go,
The only one there for you all the time is you alone.
As soon as things get rough, they may just walk out,
Makes you wonder what your friendship was really about.
But that begs the question, what really are friends?
Are they people you should rely on? I guess that depends...
In my book, they should be people you can love and trust, fully.
Because to me, friends shouldnt just be 'friends', they should be considered family.
