give me to ease my troubled mind,
my early muse, my daily challenges
and learn me how life is a sweeter land
for springing affections to stage
for if this laborious earth be true
with love that brought it into existence
then the happiest love may my joy pursue
the warmest peace may this world embrace;
but how is it we cannot say?
what to what breached love's fragrance
why it ceased flying in the sky
why the wisp vapour so low among the audience
of love, while they have washed
their minds in the flowing river,
of affection which they had desired
to be with them forever;
but so early to me, comes the wisp
for every day and night i could perceive
love growing wings in form of crisp
towards my dear love, that i will ever love
so i say, give me to ease, my dear
and with your heart shower me,
your affections so endear
and tender that love may grow between you and me.
