As the days go by, I reminisce on what once was
and ponder what might have been,
refusing to let go.
Yet slowly, and painfully,
I have come to realize
that all good things must end,
whether by our own fault
or by forces beyond our control.
It is true that we may never fully heal,
but we must never suppress
the moments we once cherished.
Mourn what could have been,
but be grateful for what was.
For other good things will come,
and they too will one day be lost,
and the cycle will continue.
For with every sunrise
there is a sunset,
and for every beginning
an end.
So too does every life
eventually meet death.
