Life gives us lessons,
It also teaches us patience,
Life gives us hope,
And belief in God and the Pope.
Life asks to be diplomatic,
And handle situations with care,
Life teaches us to be kind,
To be loving and fault-blind.
Life shows us how to jump,
Then it makes us fall on a dump,
Life teaches us to correct,
It also shows how to stand erect.
Life teaches us extravagance,
Life teaches us misery,
Life teaches us how to pay
For our misdeeds too.
