Life

Once a child
I stared at the world before me
with closed eyes
I smiled with so much joy
All I knew was laughter
I knew not what pain was
nor what death meant
I knew not the hatred that rules the world
My heart was a slippery hand
that held nothing but happiness
But now the world puts strings into my heart
it hellishly hurts
My smile a weary one
My joy a shamming one
The altruism of the world all gone
For the green field now a high mountain
In my right hand is my baton
No one wants to play
leaving it to lay
I redress my self to look like
the world
starlight
