In life you'll find love in someone or something,
It's mandatory to experience,
The high of having arms wrapped around you,
Or the Nirvana of doing what you dreamed
But with life as well as love,
There's a flipside,
You'll experience pain,
That makes you wanna cease existing
You have to overcome the obstacles,
For we all have our battles,
Teachable moments,
That test the fortitude of our character
It's up to you if you buckle or fold,
Stand and be strong,
Or just straddle the fence,
Until you make your choice
While life continues to go,
And your heart yearns to be loved,
No one is immune to the perils,
Of wanting to have a companion
Whether human or pet,
We just want that bubbly feeling inside,
Knowing that in our life,
There's someone who shines at our sight
So when you look at your life,
Reflect on the love you have or had,
Because we've all been a victim,
To the whims of life and love.
