Life as a Book

Life used to be a blank page,
But then with age,
We wrote new lines,
As saw as our potential shines.
Then lines became a chapter.
It was filled with laughter,
But also some tears,
From times when we gave in to our fears.
But there were also moments when we were filled with pride,
When we took life in our stride.
It feels like the older we get,
And the more people we've met,
The more we appreciate what life means to be,
With all its wonders to see.
And when our book nears to a close,
Let it be filled with a life that we've chose.
Let us not be of those who live in regret,
And not of those who fret.
Our potential we shall fill,
And that we will.
Anything is possible if you believe,
Because you see:
Life is what you perceive
