When I was a child everything was black and white
Much like the difference between day and night
There were no hidden complications
You solved a riddle with your imagination
Now I'm older I can see
It was all just simplicity
Gone are all my childish dreams
Never to return or so it seems
I long and yarn for those simple days
The world was such a nicer place
A world where truth was true and fair
A place where people really cared
