Life's pain

I sit and ponder, why life's pain makes me wander,
Each dawn I'm greeted with a heavy heart, questioning if this was God's art.
A path strewn with sorrow, fear, and despair, a journey that seems too much to bear.
Once a girl full of life, is now lost in strife,
No longer the girl of yesterday
Seeking validation, love, in a world so hollow ,
With cold hearts that prey, on vulnerability they lay,
where kindness is scarce, while in reality, they dare not stay.
Nights spent in self-doubt, questioning my worth,
Feeling unfit for this world, that's given nothing but hurt.
Trust in family and friends, now a distant memory,
In tough times, the genuine ones are but a rarity.
Life, a stern teacher, revealing unseen truths,
Lessons learned, strength earned, in life's booths.
But now I'm tired, I'm weak, I feel numb,
Drowning in emotions, my resolve has succumbed.
Is this my destiny? To continually bear the pain,
To be left alone, shattered, bruised, covered in wounds.
Crumbling inside, breaking into pieces,
The will to fight, the will to live, slowly ceases.
Why should I persist, when every fiber tells me to desist,
To refrain from the worldly ambush, to resist.
I'm tired, and it feels like the end is near,
With no one to offer comfort, to wipe my tear.
No one to whisper kind words, only judgment and manipulation,
No one to assure, "It will be okay, don't worry" in consolation.
Is this what the world is truly made of?
Heartless humans, self-serving, devoid of love.
For now, I'll hold on, though I'm not sure for how long,
But I can say, I'm trying, even when everything feels wrong.
God knows I am, in this world so cold and grim,
Holding onto hope, I'm just fighting trying to live
