I am surrounded by lonliness,
Like a light in the dark.
I feel a shadow of emptiness,
As I sit in the park.
Life has treated me fair,
I have no regrets.
A warm breeze blows against my face.
As the sun sets.
I think of you,
And what could have been.
I thought you loved me,
Or so it would seem.
You meant everything to me,
You captured my heart.
I gave you my life,
And you tore it apart.
Now there is nothing left of me,
As I sit in the park, I am alone now.
