LIGHTNING AND DOVES

I dug deeper,
And found gold mine of untapped love,
Intertwined in a chain of insecurities,
Fixed in a cage of unutterable guilt.
I wrote a soliloquy,
You were in every chapter.
I harmonized a silence
You were in every sound.
A helpless puppet I'm still attached to your strings.
Decimated into two, you were my better half.
When will i become a whole again?
What am i really searching for?
Is it your permission for every satisfying conclusion?
Is it your sympathy to build our broken walls?
Is it your empathy to be in my shoes?
Praises from you about this poet?
Seeking an undying beam of spotlight?
What an ungrateful soul have I grown to adopt.
Waking up the dead memories from yesterday's grave.
What a grave of dreams have i dug.
Making a complete mess of my dignity.
I wouldn't let the ghost of our past weigh our future down.
If you are reading this with my voice, i am with you.
If you aren't, I am alone.
I am ready to walk this life alone, you should too.
A helpless puppet I'm attached to your strings.
I will stare and wave at your window as days fly by
I will build a home with tomorrow bricks, gratified stones, and contented sand.
For we only live once
