Lily atop the tower

A giant of a black cobbled castle.
The halls are vast but desolate.
The walls are cold and reek of death.
The towers are silent against the white of the moon.
atop one such lonely tower then,
erupted a timid bud -
the wings of a beautiful swan -
a glistening white lily.
The whiteness made whiter against the white of the moon.
And the castle was humbled - humanified,
as the warming roots wormed deeper inside.
And deeper they went, till they dug into the ground.
Pulled pulled pulled, till the castle joined the ground.
A giant of a black cobbled mound.
The halls are gone. Desolation.
The walls are gone. The stench of death.
The ruins of the tower against the white of the moon.
Atop - a glistening white lily.
a beautiful swan.
a short-lived flight.
The weight of a lily-
the lily that one day crumbled,
and the ruins were finally seen.
