LINES FROM THE LONELY PAGES: FRIENDS OF A LONER

Two butterflies chases themselves into the greens,
Dribbling, dazzling in their colors, milk.
An agama raises head in distance
As if to peep through my writing

my soul,
Nods at a time
In a way that seems to say; I know your plight
A fly playfully drops on my arm, to the floor
Rubs its rear legs together and wiggles its tail
Tumbles over its back
As in a drunken state,
That drew my first real smile of the day.
