In the realm where shadows dance and time does writhe,
A weary soul seeks solace, desperate to thrive.
Burdened and confined, a heavy weight to bear,
Yearning for a moment to uncoil and repair.
Days blend into one, no respite in sight,
The candle burning bright, extinguishing the light.
A symphony of deadlines, demands that never cease,
Unyielding expectations, causing inner peace to decrease.
Through bones and veins, exhaustion seeps its grip,
As weariness settles, causing many a lip to zip.
A soul once ablaze, now smolders with mere embers,
On the verge of tire, hoping for respite and remember.
The weight of the world presses upon the chest,
Longing whispers, "Won't you take a moment's rest?"
In the depths of being, a silent plea is made,
To unshackle the spirit, let it soar unafraid.
But what do I do without warmth or icy chill?
Without a guiding moon, or my own thoughts to distill?
Without my mountain, without the sweet scent of lily?
Who should I turn to, what should I do, oh truly?
For an eternity I waited, yearning for your return,
Yet when you came back, your heart's fire did not burn.
Memories faded, love no longer intertwined,
Leaving me lost, questioning what I aim to find.
Every time the moon falls in your eyes so true,
It shatters into fragments, still radiant for you.
And I wonder if others see you as I do,
Energized, full of life, with dreams anew.
My eyes fixed on the prize that awaits me ahead,
I won't wait for you, no matter where you tread.
But if you wish to join this race with me,
You may, if you desire, come along and be free.
