I know of a
Little house;
It is
Painted
Blue;
Surrounded
By tall
Grass and
Overgrown
Hedges;
Ivy weaves
All over
The little
House on
The block.
I have
Always
Wondered
Who lives
In that
Little
House;
I would
Go over
There
Fear
Always
Gets the
Best of
Me.
I see lights
On in
The
House
All the
Time;
Nobody
Comes out
Though;
Strange
Very strange
Indeed;
Is that
Why people
Are scared
To go
Into
The
Little
house
on the
Block?
I finally
Found
Enough
Courage
To go up
To that
House.
As I
Fight
My way
Towards
The
House;
I am only
To stop,
I'll have to
Scale
This
Green
Scratchy
Hedge;
As I am
Climbing
The hedge
Snags my
Pants leg;
Making it
Harder to
Scale the
Wall.
The tall
Grass
Became
My next
Task to
Handle;
The grass
Blades
Would slap
Me in the
Face
As if I
Were
A child
Being
Punished.
Finally;
I reached
The house
Within;
The house
Was indeed
Blue;
Blue as an
Ocean's
Crest.
I knocked
On the
Door
No answer
I did
This
Three more
Times
Still
No answer.
I decided
To turn
Back;
Back
Through
The
Tall grass;
Only to
Get slapped
Across the
Face;
Back
Over the hedge
That snags
On my
Pant leg.
Maybe
We will
Never
Know
Anything
About
The little
House
On the
Block.
