"Little Lady"

"Little lady, been a minute since your departure, that we haven't gotten a moment to talk. I know yhat your grown now, and in the end this had to be, just my wish for you, is the tears I shedded for you, and on you covers you till you find your identity. I sit back and reflect on things, that bares relevance to my fears. How I want so much for you, and not have to linger on life questions, cause there's no more time for mistakes or drama.
Little lady, I know we said a lot of angry words, came to blows, losing our relationship of father and daughter. Could be a man and apologize, but for what? It's a gamble when you're a parent, trusting that no harm would come to you, cause how would it look to bring you from a baby, to serve you up to a world that swallows its kids, in endless imaginations, the mind can't even fathom. But, I have to let you see. So eager to face the world, just praying you make it, cause this world, ain't for the softest of hearts."
