Reaching out for expectations that you could never give me.
I learn to just let things be.
Maybe together we can achieve more,
Maybe somebody will be walking out the door.
We teach each other what the other doesn't know.
We grasp on to thoughts of never letting go.
Laughter was the one solid thing we gave each other.
Something we never gave another.
We promised to always be honest and true.
But you failed without saying " I love you."
I know you carried her inside your heart.
But she is two worlds apart.
Now I caught you in one big lie,
I could just imagine how many more are swimming around your mind.
That's why it's easier now to say goodbye.
Love shouldn't make you cry,
But it does when your living a lie.
