Their smiles can fuel the
happiness of a million frowns
of a million faces and for
that you value them.
You spend so much time
with them and get lost in their
happiness you forget that
one day they'll be gone.
You know what you have but
never think that you'll
eventually loose it one day,
the thought slips right past you.
As they rest memories fill your
mind as your heart sinks and
the sick feeling consumes you. You
maybe even remember the last word
you said.
Would you have said something else
if you would've known what their
faith was going to be? What would
you have done if you only have Known?
Questions with uncertain answers fill your
mind and with every question you get
more and more trapped in your head but
soon you're brought back into light.
You know time doesn't stop for anyone, yes
the memories hit you hard but you still
must go on not only for you but for them.
You must go on to make the proud. Wherever
their soul may be.
You may even use how you feel to help
you strive forward. Next thing you know living
through the worst thing you could ever
imagine is what makes you more stronger
and makes the world less scary than it once seemed.

This poem was inspired by a experience that effected my life greatly and had me hurt for the longest but soon faded away as I worked so hard to move on. I've grown more happy since then and going through that made things so much easier to handle. ☺
