Shut up and locked in
What did we do ? Did we sin ?
Was it so bad to just live life ?
Not thinking about the world, it's in such strife.
A force,( maybe God who knows )?Sent a germ to make us stop and stay put.
So the world could catch her breath and we could less pollute.
Made us reconnect with our families and friends
Holding them in a new way from a distance till this ends.
And when this is over, we are unlocked, let out
I hope we take a fresh zest for the small things, there's stuf we can live without.
After lockdown is over and we are allowed to roam, go free,
Be glad we made it, we've done our time you and me.
