Loneliness

Have you come to show me peace again
Cause smiles in my affliction
kiss the deepest parts of me
within
You hold me with such jealousy
There's never a friend in sight
Yet sitting next to you
Has the sweetest aroma
As the sun sets it's light
You teach me to dance
With the moon under our feet
A ball room made of marble
Where your reflection is seen
Your laugh is a lullaby
That lays my troubles to rest
You never forget our bond
Even when I've found a companion
Always teaching me
they'll prefer you
when silence is absent.
There isn't a single casket
where you're never present
Or a burning into ashes
Where you and the embers
Have never circled or danced in
Where the urn feels your hands
And knows it's never forgotten
It's your eyes that speak hope
When we all need that something
It's the footprints you leave
That guide us towards knowledge
How can I be alone
When you comfort silence
