Long After You left , Jaber

Long After You Left, Jaber
Jaber,
The grass has grown tall enough
To mulch your last footprints at my doorstep
The once, an indelible mark you left
On that cold and rainy night,
When you slid into the solid darkness
Away from me.
Jaber,
When it rains
And the torrents descend noisily upon the roof
Inside the slim blanket I coil
To shield myself from the incessant pinch of the cold nights
And in the rhythm of the rain I hear your voice singing,
The last lines of the song you sang before your sudden departure
Sadness engulfs me like clouds do to the tallest mountains.
And with the tip of my fingers I block my ears,
To guard it against the pitch of your voice Married in the downpours.
Jaber,
Nights come back to the day at dawn
Long after a whole night's fallout
Days come back to the night at dusk
Long after a whole day's fallout
Forever united yet forever divided,
But happily living on!
Jaber,
Do the waters expose the ocean's nakedness for eternity?
Or, do the oceans divorce the waters forever?
How many times do the skies divorce the pregnant clouds?
Look!
The waters that the skies divorced
Are once more pregnant
Always united yet always divided.
But happily living on!
When will you come back?
To recollect this soul
Wounded by the broken pieces of its own heart
When will you come back?
To heal this conscience
Sickling from the spillage of a beaten ego
For long are the paths of the world
Across the land to the vastness of the sea
Up the mountains to the deepest of the valleys
But none longs for your footsteps
Like does the way to my heal
