Looking on at the girl in the picture. Smiling full of life but was it really that way? She had no idea of what the world held next or what it was that she was even doing. She watched her peers, smiling and being so happy and free. She knew she was shutting down again. She tried to relate more but each time she tried, she ended up wanting nothing more than her own company. Her cozy bed where she'd just lie in silence and slowly listen to the world outside. Where she'd slowly interact with the world of fiction where she didn't have to think twice about who she wanted or rather wished to be. Silently she clutched her knees closer to her body to feel her own warmth which was slowly dissipating away. She tried to write but realised she couldn't due to the fear of being exposed. Her mind bravely fought on with the thoughts. Thoughts that had for years left nothing but deep sores to her soul. Slowly she sighed reminiscing the year she had had. A year full of hurt and pain and sadness and preferably laughter at some point. She wondered if she'd ever heal and move on. Still the memories hung upon her mind freshly as if it were just yesterday. But she chose to work on it despite the big holes that were still present. She didn't have the energy but she knew she had to summon it from God knows where. Taking a long deep sigh, she wished that things could just finally all fall into place minus all the pain. There really was a rough terrain ahead waiting for her to cross.
