By Simeon Austin David Pangu
Words are heavy to say
As my spirit slips away
All my efforts feel in vain
But I must keep on anyway
I bear the weight of guilt
Even if I'm never caught
Lost in my own identity
Longing for what I am not
I'm a branch fallen from the tree
A ship without a port to dock
Fearful of the mocking tall man
Small in size, but dreaming big and bold
Pride inflates and weighs me down
As I struggle to do what's right
Temptation leads me to the left
And I'm left with a constant fight
Each ounce in me feels heavy
Even a pound is like a feather
Life's pie is gone and wasted
And I'm left without any pleasure
I wander with no direction
Where I go doesn't matter much
But in my dreams, I find redemption
A place where I can be more than such
A king in the land of the divine
Where words hold weight and purpose
Where burdens are shed, and egos align
And every effort finds its true bliss.
