Everything she promised him, fell flat in his face.
That magical kiss turned into a horrible embrace.
His expectations were much to high,
She broke down in front of him with an anguished sigh.
He wanted back that fluttering romance,
He wanted to hold her again in a beautiful dance.
But she lost herself trying to please him,
Two beautiful souls, that will not win.
Whatever she gave, he wanted more,
But she gave everything she had, now so tired, to be like before.
She loved him the way he was but had no idea she would never be enough.
It became a neverending kind of lust.
Now to tired to change her ways,
Their love that blossomed, turned horribly from day to day.
He fell out of love with the woman who lost herself trying to be everything for him.
Now feeling out of touch with time, they may never feel that way again.
