There were several paths ahead,
yet I chose the one people dread,
I could have run, I could have fled,
forgotten all you had ever done or said.
Yet I remained, yet I stayed,
my mind was unshakeably made,
even before I had decided to act,
and all that was left was my own tact.
However I wasn't alone, don't get me wrong,
After all I didn't intend this to be a sad song,
I chose this life despite the adversities all,
cause a life without you is no life at all.
