Love & Lightning
Zeus, you make me feel as though I have rejected you in a past life or other past lives. Now you carry my suitors away. They promise not to run from me or vanish into the light. But to stay until midnight and dance with me up to twilight.
I swipe right to make things right with you and yet you still punish me, sending them into the light, straight into your lightning bolt.
It feels like a Ferris Wheel, a wheel that will not stop turning. These poor suitors caught in a loop, not knowing that this hoop will pull them back in again and again, a never ending cycle of haunted love.
Zeus, may I ask...
What have I done to you?
And when will it be my turn to find love, a partner who will not run into your dangerous light?
