You'll know the real meaning of pain,
For love is a thorn that never fades,
A wound that lingers, a heart that aches.
You'll feel the joy of butterflies,
The thrill of new beginnings,
But soon enough you'll realize,
Love is more than just happy feelings.
It's the vulnerability of opening up,
Of sharing your soul with another,
Of trusting them with your heart,
And hoping they won't break it asunder.
It's the fear of losing what you hold dear,
Of being left with nothing but memories,
Of wondering if they truly care,
Or if you're just another casualty.
But even in the midst of all the pain,
Love is a force that can heal,
For it brings us together again and again,
And reminds us of the joy we can feel.
So if you fall in love, know this,
Pain may be a part of the deal,
But it's worth it for the moments of bliss,
For the love that can make your heart heal.
