Respect or love?
Some people claim that they love,
But it's just a mere wording,
To fill the heart with void hopes,
Respect and love is like a hand with glove,
You love someone, you make yourself fit,
But you lose your respect for nothing,
You love someone, you go beyond limits,
But you don't have mere respect for them,
It's not that people want you to bow down—
And fulfill their commands in real-time,
Rather the efforts are those that matter,
You talk to them with dignity,
You give them their dutiful rights,
You understand and reflect upon their words,
You give space for their own thoughts,
You appreciate their actions,
And at last, you respect them for who they are,
It's all that matters; remember one thing,
Love doesn't have a one line relationship —
It has to be a mutual relationship built with kindness, compassion, empathy and with utmost respect!
It's not a choice, love or respect?
It's a connection, love and respect!
