Beautiful white dress, as you walk down
the aisle, standing there all speechless, all
I can do is smile. All nervous as i start to cry, wanting to throw in the towel, as I stare
in your eyes, pastor asks me for my vows.
Mesmerized by your eyes, you see straight to my soul, wet lines form on my
face, my legs begin to fold. This woman here, promise to love, cherish, and hold, A
lady of perfection, where God broke the
mold.
This love so unexplainable, but every
reason to be told, as we start a new beginning, from there my heart was sold.
I take her here in matrimony, standing here all bold, only intention in this life, is to love her and grow old.
Then before I kiss the bride, fumbling with all my vowels, as I finish reading, this beautiful woman, my vows. Watching grandkids and growing old, holding hands on the porch, as we hold the candle together, our life still holds the torch.
