I've tried love.
The taste of it still washes around,
my tongue.
Plus there's a stench left from it,
that buckles my knees eveytime I attempt to stand up.
Damn this love.
I've never been sicker.
Never been in such agonizing pain.
Never thought such a simplistic emotion,
would rearrange the mind I claim.
I've never existed in such a way,
absent me.
See, love decimated my identity.
For within love,
"I" was morphed into "We".
There was no space,
for one to simply be.
I was never complete.
I use to sit and speak to myself,
but no sound would commence.
It was as if,
I couldn't talk myself,
out of loves bondage.
Trapped forever,
ensnared by the false promises,
i heard from love,
often.
