LOVE'S TRUE WORTH

LOVE'S TRUE WORTH
Some say love is blind,
A path unclear to the seeker.
Some say love is too kind,
Even when the message isn’t clear from the speaker.

But I believe love isn’t both;
It goes beyond what we see or think.
It’s not found in a fleeing oath,
Or gone after in just a blink.

Love, I say, is leaving your comfort zone—
Venturing out to find the gem that’s true;
A diamond that won’t fade or shatter soon;
That endures through seasons, storms, and dew.

Love is more than words like “I love you”—
It’s an unending flame that burns anew—
Even when trials come and test us through,
It makes us stronger, faithful and true.

Love is sacrifice that sustains—
Dying to pride, forsaking selfish passions.
It leaves behind scars—marked in one veins—
Proof of the price paid in love’s fashions.

Love, hope, faith, and peace—
Are the virtues that uplift us high.
So pause and ask yourself, please—
Is what you seek a gem, or mere coated glass nearby?

One may look pretty, bright, and even look brand new
But when tested by fire, can they withstand?
If not, may I suggest Proverbs 18:22—
A wise guide for the love-seeker’s hand.

Like a merchant seeking the best,
The true lover should know how to discern—
Between a genuine diamond and a pest,
A fool’s gold, a false return.

So, to all love seekers, in my prayer—
Seek what lasts and will never sever.
Be wise, be clever, and choose with care—
For love that endures is love that stays forever.
