I saw my angel tonight
I was lying in a shattered dress, blood stained over the white.
I felt a hand reach out to touch me.
Like it was trying to set me free.
My body was all.bruised from head to toes.
That night my angel let me know,
That it was watching over me.
That night when I saw that bright shining light.
I knew I was being let free.
The devil came out of my attacker that night.
I don't know if this was all a nightmare, but I saw that light.
I had all.the marks on my body, and blood on my dress.
I stood up, and fought for my rights, I confessed.
I told the jury, that night I thought I was dead.
But an angel helped me, and set me free,signed in red.
So if you asked me, how I survived.
I will tell you that I don't know, but I am so lucky to be alive.
