The rain set early on that pitch black night
The streets were empty apart from those beasts
She stood trembling top to bottom
Her foot light, eyes dreamy and hair damp
They reached their arm and made her shoulder bare
She kneeled and with her last breath called out loud
When no voice replied
Body was a boon for all her kind
She looked at the rising sun
Slowly fading to darkness
To the last thud of her heart
