Malakul Maut (Angel of Death)

The rich man sat in his mansion alone,
he was busy talking on his phone
He set it down and gave a sigh,
not knowing soon he would start to cry
All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door,
the man got up and let out a voice,
who is there, reveal yourself,
or else my temper wouldn't be nice
Oh dear fellow, a voice called out,
the man was sure it was a shout
I'm Malakul Maut, Angel of Death,
sent here by the one God,
accept me, let me in,
we'll talk about your every sin
The rich man gasped,
his eyes turned wide,
by Allah's law,
he didn't abide
All his life he had forgotten,
who'd made this world and him,
his good deeds were few in number,
while the jar of sins was full to the brim
He begged the Angel to give him a chance,
towards him, the Angel advanced
You pay attention now, dear man?
when you realize all is true,
you decide to be changed just now,
after all the evil you used to brew?
The man yelled and screamed,
from his eyes tears streamed
He remembered how he'd drunk wine,
and consumed loads of pork,
how he'd eaten lots and lots,
when the poor ones had nothing on their fork
He remembered all those colleagues he tricked,
from them, money he nicked,
the poor couldn't hope good from him,
out of his land beggars he kicked
All his wealth was now stored away,
for him, death was dismay,
he couldn't use his money to escape now,
his soul was beginning to fray
He was getting closer to his doom,
for he had a place in hell,
he couldn't bear to be burnt,
so all he did now was cry and yell
Malakul Maut smiled at him,
and God claimed his soul,
both knew the rest of the rich man's fate,
he was going to be in a dreadful state!
