I am married to poetry,
And my heart is taken by her verse,
She speaks to me in words of beauty,
And in her embrace, I find solace.
She knows the depth of my emotions,
And she guides me through every thought,
Her language is my true companion,
And in her arms, I am never caught.
Though I may be surrounded by ladies,
I am steadfast in my devotion,
For poetry has captured my heart,
And her love is my only notion.
In her words, I find endless wonder,
And in her rhythm, I find my beat,
For I am married to poetry,
And with her, my heart finds complete.
So I will give my attention to her,
For she is my one true love,
And in her world of language and verse,
My soul finds its home above.
