as I open my eyes
I realise I am who I am
but that cannot be
for that is not who I should
for its when I'm sad
nor I am mad
or maybe I'm angry
but it should not be
I can never be me
I should not be
it could never be
for the mask is to be
the mask is the need
to be the real me
at least for the world to see
that I am as happy
as I could be
the mask
is what hides
what that can't be reveal
the raw and the real
for that's the real deal
buy it could never be seen
so forever
I will be
behind the mask
not to be seen
of the real me
