As I sit and write,
With my paper and pen,
I often wish,
I had a real friend.
The kind that is real,
That is wise and strong,
And be able to see,
I can trust all along.
I don't need a lot,
One will do in the end,
I will hope and won't stop,
Until I've found a real friend!
My friend would try,
To help instead of hurt,
By never telling me lies,
Or getting me fired from work!
Like the "friends" I've had,
When I was young,
Those days were sad,
I'm glad there done!
And I'll tell them my troubles,
And they'd comfort me ,
And my troubles would fade,
And make it easier to see.
And life won't look,
So bleak and hollow,
My stress would lessen,
And forget about my sorrows.
So, Until I can find,
The friend that I seek,
I'll sit and I'll write,
And I'll hope and I'll dream.
The End.
