MELANCHOLIA

The clouds are breathing heavily
under the Grayness of my weather
as i threaded steadily
between the withering flowers
and the writhing feathers
a hurdeling drop darted angrily
and smashed against my cheek
to remind me of you, the in you that i seek
now, the sinews of my heart
are being wrested apart
forcibly
time stands still,
 long gone are the hours
  when we both fell
   into the abysmal well
  (ill and devoid of will)
from the on highs
of our ivory towers.
