Memories
If you look across the river
the great Limpopo river
you see a land that used to be
a land once free.
If you look across the river
the great Limpopo river
from the land that used to be free
you see a land that stretches to the sea
a land also once free.
Oh Africa what have you done
once wild and free
how you fell
lost your splendour
to the wannabees
now you only live in our memories.
But
I guess it is time
for the young ones
to weave their own memories
in the lands that once used to be free.
