Memories, Unfolding

Memories are like origami in the rain,
Folding, unfolding, then dissolving;
Each crease a tale of joy or pain,
Moments that were once evolving.

Now they lay flat - a canvas washed anew,
In the deluge of time, only impressions remain,
Shadow plays of what we once knew,
Fading lines where once was a vivid chain.
