Memory after Death

Wood flashes before your eyes, you think of memories that once made you cry.
You hear the sobs, you feel the tears of hurt and sorrow
It's dark and your alone, your asleep and you see no light
My family you think..
Your worries crashing in your mind
Your head starts to spin
What will they do?
Will I be forgotten?
Will I just turn to dust?
Have I made any unforgiven sins?
Would those memories turn to dirt?
Have I truly lived my life?
Did I ever hurt?
Would she begin to love another?
Will my children learn to find love in another man's arms?
The wood begins to chip, the days begin to pass
No more sobs
and
No more tears
You hear the footsteps on top as the dirt begins to fall on you
But each day..less and less you hear
Not even Christmases, not even birthdays..
Not even Anniversaries..or even their hurting days
You're alone...
There is no memories that you create after death
There are only questions
but
No answers
Just confusion
And Your alone
You stare at the coffin once above you, tears rolling down your face
Your hands stuck to your side, you can't wipe your tears away
 you are asleep
You're just a body..
As you start fading away..you feel a gentle hand wipe your tear
A light of hope is the last thing..you see
Perhaps a miracle? Maybe just maybe..
.you'll then finally start to believe…
