'Mental In Order'

The mind & the heart are always waging war..
Against one another, it's time I blaze the score.
The path of the heart is not visibly seen.
The mind says that it's not what it seems.
The ego is in the mind because the mind does not feel.
So its difficult to believe that what the heart sees is real.
How does the heart see without eyes?
Ever sat on a chair you've never seen for the 1st time?
When we enter an unfamiliar path, why do we opt out to what the mind knows?
Why do we rob ourselves of new experiences? Also..
We refuse enhanced confidence, familiar circumstances doesn't show.
So do we neglect to follow our hearts into thee unknown..
Only because the mind make sense, as I'm told?
That means we have more patience to what we're familiar with.
We look at new ideas with murderous eyes, "I'm a kill you quick!".
I challenge all poets to try something new..
& become uncomfortable until you break through.
