Our merry go round
use to talk
talk talk talk talk talk
trying not to dry out
our sideline grind
and we use to search
LA for sunshine
and google had us
dancing on the run
and it's really crazy now
but its changing lanes
and that was really us
really us
chasing what we didn't have
riding on the city bus
and we were going nowhere fast
and we were really in that hallway
after class
with our clothes
half way off
and then we got caught
by the teacher
yelling you two
put those back on
so we laughed at her
and flashed her
our dance was our own
yeah noone was gonna
stop our hearts
we were really touching ours
in the city dark
with the music on
playing all of our songs
having milkshakes
in between the sheets
breaking up all of
everyday things
and all of these memories
will live on
and we also got that friendly
at echo park
watching ducks
go quack quack
so we quacked with them back
and I will never
stop hoping that
were still floating now
with the stars
and we did it fun
really really fun things
and we chewed our gum
with all of our feelings
popping bubbles finding how
and we made s'mores
at your grandma's house
and we ate all of them up
on our merry go round
and forever
