On the way to midnight blue
I caught a sudden glimpse you
that arrested my fall to insanity
and brought myself back into me.
Hanging on the edge of hope,
a heartfelt plea for me to cope,
halting the things that I could do
to stay the path to midnight blue.
Melancholy from me did part,
a healing balm upon my heart.
Loving words and kind caress
compelling my troubled soul to rest.
