Miles away.

She used to be so beautiful
But her illness took its toll.
She used to sing and dance her nights away.
She used to smile...but now she's not okay.
She used to talk about the good old days.
And now at times she sits in silence with not a word to say.
She's aged with all the wear and tear.
Does anybody care...
She used to laugh but now she barely smiles.
At times her mind goes back to when she was a child.
Her mind goes miles away
She definitely is not okay..
Some days are better then others.
With a sad song in her mind, it reminds her of her mother.
She sits there in silence for a moment or two.
Some day soon, her memories will be nothing but a few.
