At the County Fair,
I was little,
I'd be lost in the shuffle.
Having to choose the grandest
horse on the carousel
was a nightmare.
Some were jumping.
Some were flying.
With a carefully crafted stare,
I spent the next three minutes turning,
floating,
thrilling.
Grown up, not so little
and I'm still lost in the shuffle.
Everyday playing emotional roulette,
I haven't figured
myself out yet.
Sometimes I want to jump.
Sometimes I want to fly.
With continuously crafted regret,
I'll spend the next three minutes turning,
floating,
thrilling.
