Miserly
You stood before me.
Drunken
And death-defying,
You took one look around;
No one but me and a house full of children,
So You took a look at me.
You selected a glare
Like a sunset
Burning with orangy rage
Of a mixture of Jack and Coke vodka and others.
As you stood up
Straight
Poised enough to hold something powerful.
Cocked back the trigger of the metallic Beast you held in your hands
And fired 1 shot
Which missed my body
And ran its self Into what used to call its self my bike tire,
But not before delivering the final blow to my heart l.
I fell back.
Back like every time you wish you could take me back to the hospital or abort me instead.
Just like you should have stopped at one-
Well, you should have stopped at none.
I fell back.
As if the blow from the gun in ur hand
Had been real,
Your eyes opened wide.
Wide as in shocked.
Shocked as if you could feel anything in your heart.
Your eyes open wide
As u realized/
What you had done,
So You stood there
Still miserly
And soon left me to fend for myself
Amongst my own thoughts
With a bullet wound to my chest
And no respect
For a man, I use to call my father.
