Missing Miss Zelda
Zelda is a tiny little creature
A small beautiful red-eyed rat
Lovely white fur that is soft
With the longest tail at her back
She was very docile and calm
Absolutely loved her head pats
Just before I'd give her a treat
I would always give a back scratch
Temptations are for felines
Usually not for any rats
Zelda did not mind at all
She came running like the cats
Vegetables, fruits and seeds
Her meals consisted of a lot
Grains I think were her favourite
Actually, not many things were not
Sadly she passed away one day
It was a very sad time for me
The couple years I shared with her
I will remember indefinitely
